Super Bowl 7-Layer Dip Cups

Wanna be the real MVP on game day? Bring these 7-Layer Dip cups and you'll be loved forever! Ok, maybe just for the 4 hours of game time.

Here's a little secret, it's not really 7 layers, it's basically 5 with two different toppings, so feel free to customize how you want! But you'll get the low down on ingredient quantities here!

Bon appétit and happy cooking!

Prep Time: 15 min Cook Time: 20 min Total Time: 35 min.

Serves: 8 Cups

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of refried beans (14 oz)

  • 2 ripe avocados, mashed

  • Juice from one lime

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 container of sour cream (16 oz )

  • 1 container of salsa (15.5 oz)

  • 1 bag Mexican Blend Cheese

  • 1 green onion, diced

  • cilantro for garnish

  • 1 bag of Blue Corn Chips

Instructions:

  1. Transfer refried beans to a separate bowl and microwave for 30 seconds, to soften.

  2. First layer: scoop out 2 tablespoons and add to each cup. Tap the cup in order to level out the refried beans. Set aside in the fridge to harden.

  3. Second Layer: mash avocados with lime juice and garlic powder to make the guac. I also like to add a pinch of salt here. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons on top of the refried beans and smooth with a spoon. You can also tap the cup to level the guac.

  4. Third Layer: add 2-3 tablespoons of sour cream on top of the avocado. Tap the cup to level the sour cream.

  5. Fourth Layer: add 2 tablespoons of salsa on top of the sour cream. Use a spoon to level out - don't tap the cup or it will splatter!

  6. Fifth Layer: add shredded cheese to cover salsa

  7. Sixth & Seventh Layers: add toppings such as green onions, cilantro, black olives

  8. Top with a blue corn chip
